Tajima TFHX-IIC1506. This machine had a broken spiral gear. The owner consulted with another tech who had him dissemble the machine trying to trouble shoot the problem. This is what the machine looks like when I got to his shop.

SERVICE RATES and TERMS of SERVICE

Here are my Rates and Cost Estimates for service calls and training. We base our basic service rate on three items, Service, Travel and Lodging .

Notes on payments.

  • Full Payment is due AT THE TIME OF SERVICE unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • A $50 fee will apply to all returned checks.
  • We add a percentage to the cost of parts to cover re-stocking, processing, and handling.
  • 3% Credit /Bank Card processing fee
  • We accept cash, check, and credit card/bank card as payment. We also use Square, Paypal, Venmo, Zelle.

To estimate the cost, add the Service Rate +Travel Rate + Lodging Rate.

SERVICE CALL: $220.00

  • $110.00 per hour.  We have a Two hour minimum.
  • The invoice is printed before the service and the time printed on the invoice is only an estimate and will be adjusted as needed.

 


TRAVEL RATE: - $.95 per mile, round trip, or $1.90 in one-way mileage.

  • Round Trip Mileage as determined by Google Maps.
  • Shared Trips: 200 miles or more away I may be able to split the cost of travel between the customers involved in the Trip if they are in the same area.
  • I have a coupon for Travel cost. You may qualify for a discount on your travel cost.

 


LODGING RATE: - $150.00 = When overnight stays are required a Lodging Fee may be charged.  

  • Lodging may be required if the Travel Time and Time of service is over 8 hours.
  • Lodging may be required if you are over 200 miles away.
  • Lodging may be required if you are on a scheduled trip with other customers.
  • This rate may be higher if the rates of the hotels in the area exceed the Lodging Rate. (Football/Baseball games, event rates etc...)

  • Please call if you have questions and for a definite estimate.
  • 1 - 200 miles one way = I cannot share Travel Rates and or Lodging Rates on trips less than 200 miles away.
  • 200 - and over = Sharing Travel Rates may be possible depending on location and distance between customers.

 

 

 


 

 Shop Services:

AJST performs some shop services where we work on machines and machine parts in our shop.

SHOP RATE:

  • $110.00 per hour.
  • 1 hour minimum 
  • After the first hour time is billed by the quarter hour

 

 

Air Travel:

We travel anywhere in the United States. This section gives my Air Travel Cost. Payment in full is required before the flight can be booked. Adjustments may be made after the service date. There are four separate charges for Air Travel:

AIR SERVICE CALL: Service call $440.00.  We have a four hour minimum. $110.00 per hour after first four hours.

HOURLY FLIGHT RATE: $50.00.00 per hour for actual flight time including one hour before flight, waiting at airport, during layovers, driving rental car.

AIR FARE: This is the cost of the Air Fare.

AIR TRAVEL DAILY RATE: $450.00 per day. Covers hotel, car rental, fuel, airport parking, baggage fees, food, and other expenses.This price is charged for each day from departure to return.

 

 

 


 

 DIGITIZING: We can digitize your logo or design into a format for our embroidery machine or you can take the design to your embroiderer.


EMBROIDERY: We can provide you quality apparel at competitive prices. We can embroider your logo on your shirts, bags, or caps.

  • $25.00 minimum per item for under 12 items.
  • $15.00 minimum on names or monograms.
  • $1.00 Per 1000 stitches. For items over 25,000 stitches. 
  • There are discounts for embroidery on items we supply and also for quantity 12 or more items.

EMBROIDERY (CUSTOMER SUPPLIED ITEMS): You supply the item we can do the embroidery.

  • $25.00 minimum per item for under 12 items.
  • $15.00 minimum on names or monograms.
  • $1.00 Per 1000 Stitches. For items over 25,000 stitches.
  • There are discounts on embroidery for quantity 12 or more items.
  • Please read and agree to the CUSTOMER SUPPLIED GARMENT WAIVER listed below when you supply your own apparel.

FONT DIGITIZING: We can digitize your font and provide it in ESA format to work with your Wilcom and Hatch Embroidery software. We can also digitize it as a .DST file or convert it to most other embroidery based stitch files. Please call for pricing.

  • Upper case letters = 26 characters
  • Lower case letters = 26 characters
  • Numbers 0-9 = 10
  • characters  , . ?  - = + ! &@ # $ %  ” : ; ` = 16 Characters

 


 

Phone Support:
  • $110.00 per hour.
  • Initial consultation - 1st quarter hour is free.
  • $110.00 per hour - billed to the next quarter hour.
  • We use Zoom. I need prior notice to set it up.

 EMERGENCY, WEEKEND, AND HOLIDAY SERVICE CALLS:

ROOMMATE AGREEMENTYour business is important to me. I could work on embroidery machines all the time, but my wife says I have to spend a little time with the family. She said that not spending time with the family is a violation of our ROOMMATE AGREEMENT. Go figure... 


Due to the increased traffic, increased hotel rates, and because I need time with my family I have to charge extra for Emergency calls on weekends, holidays, and emergency situations.

I do emergency, weekend, and Holiday calls but I have to charge extra. Here are my emergency rates:

EMERGENCY SERVICE CALL:

  • $1,000.00

  • $225.00 per hour. Four hour minimum.

EMERGENCY TRAVEL RATE:

  • $4.00 per mile, Round trip.

  • Round Trip Mileage as determined by Google Maps.

EMERGENCY LODGING RATE:

  • $250.00 per night

  • This rate may be higher if the rates of the hotels in the area exceed the Lodging Rate. (Football/Baseball games, event rates etc...)

 


 

SERVICE GUARANTEE:

Your satisfaction is our main concern. I guarantee that I will do the best service I can to repair and service your machine. We do sew-outs on most of our service calls so that the owner is completely satisfied before we leave. If there is an issue with the machine after we leave, we will do our best to remedy the problem.

  • The issue must be reported to AJST within 24 hours of the service.
  • We will attempt to resolve the issue by telephone, and email.
  • If the issue cannot be resolved by telephone, we can schedule a return service call.
  • Depending on the location, distance, and nature of the issue the customer may be responsible for the full amount of the return service call.

 

NOTE: Due to the wide variety of the machines I service and due to the nature of the machines I cannot offer a standard service guarantee. Some things that you should take into consideration when having me work on your machines are:

  • Has someone tried to repair the machine before I am able to service the machine?
  • Availability of parts, and or support from the manufacture.
  • I do not have the expertise to test printed circuit boards.
  • Unfortunately, some machines may be more finicky than others. Some, I call them my Zip Code Machines, because I may fix one problem and they break or exhibit other issues before I can get out of the Zip Code.
